We encourage an interest in the history of the Otahuhu area and preserve items and photographs of historical importance. Our rooms contain a collection of household items, memorabilia, photos and archives relating to the history of the Otahuhu area and how its people used to live. We are a small local ballet school for children from aged 3yrs and above. No previous experience is necessary. We teach the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and dancers are expected to work towards sitting an examinations from primary ballet and above. Classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays. We have a special class for Baby Ballerina's aged 3 & 4 yrs on Wednesdays at 2.30pm. All students from Grade 1 upwards (aged 7yrs and over) are expected to attend 2 classes per week. Read more

The Shakespear Open Sanctuary Society Incorporated (“SOSSI”) is an incorporated society and registered charity established in 2004 for the purpose of assisting Auckland Council with the establishment and development of the wildlife sanctuary.
