I have been teaching the piano since 1985, but have also run music classes for preschoolers, 5-9 yr olds, marimba groups, school choir and played the piano for weddings, restaurants and ballet schools including the NZ School of Dance.
I teach after school hours from my home music studio in Vauxhall and during school hours, at Columba College.

Mastering a piece of music on the piano boosts a child's self-esteem and teaches patience and persistence.
Children who play the piano have improved fine motor skills and, unlike other instruments, the piano requires both hands to work independently of each other. This helps to increase a child's overall dexterity and complex thought processes.
