Here at Creative Matters we value the entire creative process. We encourage participants to be creative, to try new things, to develop their skills, to work positively with others and above all, have fun in a safe, nurturing environment.

Mandy Jakich and her team of experienced tutors run quality workshops in art and music for children after school and in the holidays. Creative Matters workshops: provide quality learning and experiences in the arts to children, adults and families; encourage an appreciation for and understanding of the creative process; create secure, nurturing, positive learning environments in which individuals can gain confidence and thrive and to
create opportunities to make connections and build relationships within communities.

The Founder and Managing Director of Creative Matters, Mandy Jakich, has had more than 20 years experience teaching in primary and intermediate schools around Auckland, NZ and most recently worked at Auckland Art Gallery as an art educator, where she created educational programmes and taught art making to children aged from 5 - 18. She is a practising artist/maker and lives at Muriwai Beach with her husband and two teenage children.
