The April School Holiday Workshops at Sew Much Fun start from 15 April. Students will learn the basics of sewing in a simple and fun way. The Workshops run from 10 am to 12.30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays of both weeks of the holidays. Sewing is a Life Skill that is important for your child. It’s an effective way to get your child off the i-pad or TV and and learn something interesting and fulfilling. Sewing is an inexpensive way to teach your child the joy of a creative hobby. And best of all – it’s fun! The fee is $75 per workshop and includes all the items required for the project. Topics covered are: · Safety in the sewing room · The parts of a sewing machine · Winding a bobbin and threading a sewing machine · Using the presser foot · Sewing straight lines and pivoting · Different stitches and how to use them · Useful tools to have in your sewing kit · Make an item to take home.
