The purpose of the Museum is to preserve the history of Helensville and Lower Kaipara. We have four buildings which house collections of items from 1862 onwards set in cottage gardens with a small hut in a bush area. The Hec Nicholls Memorial Barn houses displays of farming, fishing, and transport items. This is good place to lose the males of the family. Waimauku Kindergarten was proudly opened in July 2003. Located in Freshfields Road our kindergarten was a dream of a small dedicated group of women who volunteered their time, over 4 years to raise the funds to support the establishment of a community operated early childhood centre.
