Seven week classes Term 4 art classes & after-school care for children who like to make, create and invent. Located in Raumati, Paraparaumu - Kapiti. Check the website for Holiday Classes. For ages 5-13 on Tues, Wed and Thurs. The kid's art classes are from 3.30 - 5pm, however children can arrive from 3pm onwards. There is a late-stay option until 6.30pm, so the classes can extend as an after-school programme. Themes: - Tuesdays - Paint, Print, Sew - Create Fibre Art. Sew, paint & print cushions, costumes, puppets! - Wednesday - Drawing & Painting. Experiment With Mixed Media. Drawing and painting from real life and our imagination. - Thursday - Clay Sculpture. Making clay animals, wizards, mermaids, dragons, plus+! Each art class is 7 weeks in duration. Online booking is only available on the website. Payment by credit card has no additional fees. - Qualified primary teacher and artist - 15 years' experience teaching art to primary-aged children - Progressive teaching methods - Lessons based on traditional and modern arts/crafts, developing skills & creativity - Structured, but in a home-studio setting - A child-friendly, relaxed environment for after-school - Lots of variety / choice - Excellent resources The classes provide an opportunity to play and experiment in a structured but caring, home-studio environment. To meet the needs of active and curious children after school we explore a variety of crafts such as sewing, crochet, pottery, felting, weaving, jewellery and woodwork; and the art forms: painting, drawing, sculpting and printmaking. The activities utilise a child's growing mathematical skills such as estimating, measuring, scaling up & down, changing 2D to 3D, exploring symmetry, and pattern-making. Natural sciences, such as chemistry, biology, geology and physics are included, as well as history and culture.

Our club delivers a sprocket training programme to all riders on pedal bikes. This is scheduled to restart on 7th September 2020, 5.30pm - 6.30pm. The North Shore Marathon, Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, 5km Fun Run & Walk, and Kids Marathon will take place on Auckland’s beautiful North Shore and is widely regarded as one of New Zealand’s most Scenic Marathon and Half Marathon events. The course is based on a 21.1km circuit that will see participants starting at Milford Reserve before taking in the beautiful Takapuna, Narrow Neck, and Cheltenham Beaches before tackling the amazing 1km Tunnels Loop (you don’t actually go through any tunnels) around Maungauika/Historic North Head. This spectacular part of the course has been the showcase of the event since 2011 with Auckland’s best views over the city and out into the Hauraki Gulf to Rangitoto Island. Maungauika/North Head Historic Reserve is Treaty of Waitangi redress land of Nga Mana Whenua o Tamaki Makaurau, being the 13 iwi/hapū of Tāmaki Makaurau. There course features a mixture of road, beach, and grass trails, so there is a bit of something for everyone.

Hamilton BMX Club hold their club nights every Wednesday in our season. (weather permitting) starts back 2nd September 2020. From 5.15 pm, racing starts @ 6 pm. Pedal & Balance Bikes MTB class Buddy Nights (bring a friend) BMX is a family sport which we enjoy & have fun so come & join in! For all ages & skill levels on balance & pedal bikes. New riders the first 3 club nights are FREE to register to get you started.... Riders must be fully covered e.g..long pants, long sleeve top, covered shoes (we have some gloves) & we offer bike & helmet hire $2 per item. Most of our new riders start off on their everyday bikes - bikes must not have bike stands, pegs etc... for safety reasons & rider must have either a bike helmet if on a balance bike or a full face helmet on pedal.
