Davis Karate Academy is located in Feilding, Manawatu. We practice a traditional style called 'Shito-Ryu' that teaches us self controlled, effective techniques. We are affiliated directly to the Shito-Ryu Japan Karate association in Osaka, and have an opportunity to compete at overseas every two years.
Our junior members (5-11 years old) get graded 4 times per year and aim to get new belts. Our senior members (12 years and above) get graded 3 times per year towards black belts. We offer the first two lessons for free. We also offer a new uniform for a new member.
Our five principles - determination, morality, development, common senses, and harmony.
Through our syllabus, we learn physical skills such as strength, balance, accuracy, and mental skills such as concentration, respect, self discipline.
Davis Karate Academy has been in Manawatu since 2000. Our members have been proving their quality through national and international tournaments. Come and join us. You will get lots of benefits for your life.

    Best karate teacher
    Highly recommend! The head teacher there is excellent and has decades of knowledge and experience under her black belt, on top of being a full-time high school teacher and dean. She is very patient, encouraging and trains students for competitions on some weekends at no extra charge. Members travel up to an hour and a half to take her classes, which is incredible and is a reflection of her character and dedication to teaching. 10/10 would recommend! :)
