L.O.D Dance Studios

We offer a variety of dance styles, including Ballet, Jazz Tap & Contemporary in 2 handy locations, including a purpose built Studio in Mount Cook and junior classes in Hataitai.

For our youngest dancers, we have a fabulous program called READY SET DANCE. These are one hour combo class that includes jazz, tap, hip hop, singing, music and are a whole lot of FUN for girls and boys. Targeting ages 2-5 year olds, the specially designed Jazz, Hip Hop and Tap exercises are perfect for both boys and girls & extend beyond dance to develop skills such a teamwork and confidence.

Our pre-school “Magical Movement” class introduces 3-4 year olds to the magical & creative world of ballet, and allows our young dancers to explore movement & rhythm in an imaginative and fun filled half hour class.
School age children can begin RAD Ballet or AJDA Jazz classes, and Beginner Contemporary & Tap classes run for 7-8 year olds.
Directors Natalie Woodhall & Marina Macfarlane have had the studio for a decade. With that extensive teaching experience under their belts, together they head a team of experienced and qualified teachers who instil confidence, and create a supportive learning environment for their dancers & families.
