Your second 10 lessons, 50% off

    Validity: from 01 Jan 2019 to 30 Jun 2019

For beginners to learn piano here at PIANO PATHWAYS in Feilding, or for students transferring from other towns, here is an offer to encourage you to stick with tuition for two full terms. Your second term of 10 weeks will only be billed at half-fees! This time frame gives you the chance to fully investigate what's on offer for learning piano and/or theory, before deciding if your time has been worthwhile. This is particularly useful for a beginner, because my comprehensive approach is not just learning to read notes in a tutor book... over a number of weeks the student is introduced to all the aspects on offer -- listening games, games for naming keys, creating compositions, match-up activities, interactive computer quizzes, rote tunes, instant 5-finger tunes, improvising, duets with the teacher.... It would be rewarding to experience each of these during the first 20 lessons. Simply mention this offer as you book in for lessons and it will be noted in the attendance register to have your second account adjusted. Any consumables will still be billed. PIANO PATHWAYS is at 8 Kimbolton Road, near the Feilding CDB. Phone 323 3929.

    Excellent Piano Tutor

    01-04-2019 by Lorraine Woods

Felicity Logan has been my tutor for 10 years now and is very patient with me being a mature student 55+ I initially went to her classes that were designed to get students to learn the basics quickly called 'Keyboard Quickies'. This style was very benificial for my lesrning and inspiration.

Answer from Piano Pathways on 30-04-2019:
Adult learners are more aware of any failure to meet the mark, so they're extra hard on themselves! The group night classes at the High School featured tunes learned by rote and letter-name. It's another thing to go on and learn to read music in private lessons, and to learn the styles typical of each musical period, so good on Lorraine for persisting!

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND

    02-02-2018 by Andrea

My two children are learning piano from Mrs Logan. I would highly recommend this piano teacher for her flexible teaching methods according to the needs of each child.

Answer from Piano Pathways on 08-03-2018:
Thank you very much for your recommendation. We know so much more these days about learning styles, and if we are creative and get parental feedback, we can take into account kids' interests and the family background and make it fun, pertinent and successful.

Creating a stimulating learning environment for private music lessons

As a private music teacher with a waiting-room area for students, I set out to make it a welcome place where some undirected learning could happen. I managed to find a lot of books with coloured illustrations about music in general: the history of instruments, lives of composers, how sound is made, instruments of the orchestra, musical periods and what characterized each. But it doesn’t all have to be about Music! Some were about Science and Geography, some were joke books and children’s pictur...
