My 2 boys aged 7 and 9 attended a holiday programme with Chocolate Lantern and loved it. It's amazing how much they loved "telling" a story with puppets. It gave them an alter ego and they were free to not be themselves. Nicci and Dawn are fun but quiet and patient at the same time and draw stuff out of the kids without them even knowing it's happening. This is a very unique child led programme and worth investing in.

Through our school we offer a wide range of Performing Arts classes, teaching Acting, Singing and Dance skills to children as well as adults in the Rangiora and North Canterbury area. The NZ Fringe Festival, also known at times as the Wellington Fringe or just FRINGE!, started in 1990 when a group of performance makers came home from a trip to the mighty Edinburgh Fringe in Scotland and loudly proclaimed “we need some of that too!”. With the help of the NZ Festival (then known as The New Zealand International Festival of the Arts) Fringe was born as a one-week ‘festival within a festival’, in its ideal home: BATS Theatre. The festival quickly grew from there and established ...

The kids love it

My little boys attend the Mt Wellington play group and after 4 classes my eldest (2) has grown so much in confidence it's amazing! From the boy who wouldn't leave my side to now asking if he can have a turn to sing it's just great. My 5 month old also enjoys the noise and loves shaking the instruments around. We definitely recommend these sessions and only wished they had more in our area to attend.

I took my 18 month old, 2 year old twin girls Mr 4 and Miss 5, to the Wednesday Ponsonby class. They had a fantastic time all dressed up in costumes. There were instruments hula hoops and balls with lots and lots of bubbles It was structured but no one worried when Mr 4 was more impressed with roaring like a lion despite being dressed as Pukeko and insisted I sung in the microphone as well. It was a great morning out for $5. I look forward to reaturning
