The Shakespear Open Sanctuary Society Incorporated (“SOSSI”) is an incorporated society and registered charity established in 2004 for the purpose of assisting Auckland Council with the establishment and development of the wildlife sanctuary. We encourage an interest in the history of the Otahuhu area and preserve items and photographs of historical importance. Our rooms contain a collection of household items, memorabilia, photos and archives relating to the history of the Otahuhu area and how its people used to live. The rooms are open 10am-12pm every Wednesday, from February to November or by appointment. Read more
